I guess its winter then...
At weekend the clocks did they're yearly thing of going back an hour, forcing the UK into early darkness and the mild depression that goes with it. Working the 9 to 5 really gets to me this time of year as it completely wipes out all hope of that after work ride, leaving it all up to the weekend weather to decide if we can go wakeskate. Especially as where we live and ride is so exposed to the fronts that seem to engulf our passion to the point where you get that narrow minded feeling that everything is literally shitting on you.
I hate writing about the weather and blaming it for the lack of riding, and this post isn't supposed to be a frustrated rant! i know i really should just plan my life better and beat this yearly routine! The positive thing i do like about this time of year though is the way it gives me a chance to reflect on the season just gone and to plan for the next.
We are constantly having new enterprising! ideas here in the dirtydirty.. and these dark evenings are the perfect time to put some into action. i don't want to say too much at the moment as knowing us its unlikley many will ever surface, but its the hope and willingness to succeed that sees me through these dark days. Hopefully we'll have some exciting products and adventures for next season. One thing that is certain...dirtySouth apparel. With more designs and not just limited to wakeskating.
If anyone has any ideas of what they'd like to see or designs they have made then let us know, anything is possibe. Well, kind off!

get involved.

Busy busy
Since returning from our little trip things have been a little busy,
we've only just started logging the footage but hopefully we will have
something up end of next week along with an article on alliancewake.co.uk
.
Weekend just gone we were at Animal windfest. Both Oli and Martin
helped out Parks(rockstar wakeboarding school) build the pool gap. It
was lots fun. With good weather and sick parties. We also met a new
ripper from the midlands, Ollie Moore - This lad is good.
So now I'm about to head up to London ,check out king of cable and
wakeskate lots.

Done
Just got back to England, trip was dope. We rode 3 cables in the end
and drove about 800 miles in total. There should be plenty more about
all the goings on over the next week or so, but for now I leave you
with a picture from a massive euro techno rave in the main square of
Eindhoven! So good bro!

.. ... . ..Update
11 hours to go and were heading east.
Hooray

With just 11 hours to go were now 5 people, 2 cars and a whole host of video and still camera equipment and wake paraphernalia. As of last night Me and Sam Miller joined Oli, Liam and my Bro Sam (DP Safety team) on the DSW Road Trip through the seediest depths of Holland even touching Germany.
Due to the weather being like this-
And the fishing being slack at the moment, I'm off in on the trip with so many hidden agendas, (film, photo, my bros last birthday on this side of the globe oh and to wakeskate). luckily for me a good friend and fellow rider Sam Miller (below), is driving leaving me time to document as much as possible.

So with 11 hours to go till we hit the road, every thing packed and ready there is nothing left to do but wait. That's all from me (Martin below)
check back for regular updates these may not be till Tuesday depending on what connectivity we have.
Peace

Road to Germany....
...Its on. We have booked the ferry and roughly planned a route. So far Its just Oli and me as Martin has to wait to see what the fishys are doing. As of last night DPsafety Team will be joining the trip. This is really just Sam, Martins bro, but he likes to call himself a team which he named double penetration. its been a while since we've had this support but I'm sure with safety in mind and bringing a rather abstract look on life, he will be invaluable to the trip.
We set sail 28th Aug 4:00AM and return 1st Sept 2:00PM (£70 norfolkline.co.uk). A long, cheap weekend intended to check out cables and winch spots in Holland and Germany for reference when planning future trips.
The itinerary so far...
Day 1
Arrive Eindhoven Holland
Wakeskate Brabant(best) cable
Blaze
Day 2
Drive into Germany
Wakeskate Blauelagune cable (Wankum) - Good town name!
Sam's Birthday
Day3
Drive to Duisburg
Wakeskate Duisburg Wedau cable
Drive to Langenfeld
Day4
Wakeskate Langenfeld cable
Drive back to Holland
Blaze
Day5
Blaze
Go Home
SAFE.
It could all change knowing us, but that's the rough plan. If your interested in joining the trip or want more info let us know, would be awesome to get at least another van full on the road to Germany.

Oli,s new toy...
The Weather Has been proper shit here recently, constant wind or rain. Oli wants to learn to love the wind by becoming a Pro Kitesurfer dude. we'll be following his journey close with possible video footage when he first takes to the water...

I'm still not that convinced though! And thanks to this recent purchase,Typical for him, the wind has moved round to the north which is not ideal for kiting where we are! so hopefully will be riding this weekend.
